NYc ๐๐ฝ๐บ๐ธ #day1
5/20/19
Today, 4 weeks after returning from my Thailand trip, it was eventually the time to start my next bigger trip. Even though the airplane was slightly delayed when it departed it arrived on time. Due to the six hour time change I arrived at 1:45pm at JFK after leaving at 12:15pm in Frankfurt. An airplane train took me right to the center of Brooklyn and a place called Jamaica. From there I had to take another subway to get to my Airbnb apartment on the Upper East side I was staying at with a good friend Quinn of mine as well as her boyfriend, Nick. After resting for a little and chatting with Quinn and Nick, we decided to start to explore NYC. Our first stop was Central Park that we reached in less than a ten minute walk.

Other places we went to were the Columbus Circle, the radio city music hall, 5th Avenue as well as the St. Patrickโs cathedral.

Well, as many of you can probably relate, walking around the city can make you starve. Sitting in an airplane half of the day and only getting one big meal does not help either. Thus, we had some food at a nice Diner a few blocks down our street. The diner was actually right next to the Roosevelt Island tramway that I also wanted to go to while visiting in the city that never sleeps. The tram is on 60th street and connects Manhattan with Roosevelt Island and is one ways to get on the island while enjoying marvelous views over the city.

The best thing about is that is included in the 7day metro ticket I got. Therefore, another free activity for me to do.
